In a world astray in darkness,
We are called to show Your light.
Manifest to those around us
Radiance, to light the night.
Through our life, and in our living,
In life's busy, bustling pace;
Let us bear your light and mission,
Be a channel of Your grace.
In a world deprived of loving,
Help us, Lord, Your word obey,
By the love we show each other,
Those around will know Your way.
Help us, Lord, to be a river
Flowing from a heavenly place,
In our lives and in our loving,
Be a channel of Your grace.
In a world so scarce in comfort,
Where despair seems often near;
Help us, Lord, to aid another,
Reassure each other here.
May we now all men encourage,
As we're called to run life's race;
Lighten burdens that oppress them,
Be a channel of Your grace.
